Hometown- Knoxville, Tn.

Goals for PGY 1- learn as much as I can.

Goals for residency- Become the best neurologist I can and make lifelong friendships along the way.

Career plans- unsure at the moment. Right now, I have an interest in multiple subspecialties.

Personal interests & Hobbies- nature, fitness, family, animals. Spending as much time in the mountains as possible hiking, exploring, watching sunrises/sunsets. I also love to run!

Professional Memberships- Tennessee Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Association, AAN, AMA

Awards- Sigma Sigma Phi, USPHS 2023 Excellence in Public Health Award

Personal Statement: Dr. Burtch obtained her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Knoxville, Tn where she is originally from. In medical school, Dr. Burtch cofounded the Community Health Alliance, a partnership with Knoxville Area Rescue Mission, to help bring healthcare and health education to the underserved community. She was awarded the USPHS 2023 Excellence in Public Health at her school for her role in this organization. Dr. Burtch has broad interests in multiple research topics in neurology and is excited to contribute to this growing field. In her downtime Dr. Burtch likes to run, hike, and spend time with family, friends and her two kitties, Leo and Ralphie.
