Resident Research Opportunities

Residents are required to participate in both a quality improvement and research project each year of training. The research curriculum is a mentored process including milestones throughout the year that culminate in a presentation at the annual Resident Research Day at the end of each academic year. Residents are encouraged to submit their research to local and national meetings and afforded opportunities to present when accepted.

Opportunities exist for both clinical and laboratory research projects. Residents have protected research time each year during training, either in the 1.5 month consult block during the 1st and 2nd year or the 1.5 elective block during the 3rd year.
