Fellowships

Overview

Our department fosters education, research and provides superb clinical and surgical training. Fellows actively participate in teaching residents and medical students. Our state-of-the-art facilities in our new building serve patients from a broad area of eastern Kentucky.

The University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences currently offers five fellowship opportunities.

The fellowship offers an immersive clinical and surgical experience, with opportunities for teaching and research.

The fellowship takes place in our state-of-the-art clinic in retina, uveitis, and ophthalmic-genetics services.

The fellowship provides an advanced level of competence in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical retina and vitreous diseases.
