Rotation Specialties

Cardiac - Adult cardiac surgery with broad exposure to coronary, valve, and aortic surgery including experience with heart failure and transplant. Includes consult coverage and bimonthly clinics at on-site Veteran's Administration (VA) facility. (All VA patients go to UK Hospital for surgery and post-op management.)

Thoracic - General thoracic surgery with broad exposure to lung, esophageal, chest wall, pleural, and mediastinal diseases. Includes on-call coverage of on-site VA facility for thoracic emergencies.

Cath Lab/Interventional Pulm. - Hybrid rotation with the cath lab and interventional pulmonary experience, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
