Lee Carol Greenwell dedicated 15 years of service to the University of Kentucky’s Division of General Surgery, and nearly two decades to the University of Kentucky; she has accepted a position outside the University as an Executive Administrative Assistant.  Though leaving General Surgery was a difficult decision for her, the opportunity for personal growth and new experiences was not one she could refuse.
Lee Carol expressed her deep commitment to the Division of General Surgery at a reception held in her honor at the Boone Center on her last day of employment with UK.
“I am so proud of the work UK’s surgeons do every day of every year. They put the needs of patients ahead of everything, even at the expense of missing important events of their own families. Each of them have earned my deepest respect,” she said.
Dr. Patrick McGrath, General Surgery Division Chief, expressed his personal respect as well as the heartfelt gratitude of the division’s surgeons and staff for her work and contributions.
“Lee Carol has been a vital part of our division for many years.  She has gone above and beyond to meet our needs, and done so with grace and a cheerful attitude.  It has been an honor and privilege to work with her.”

After two years as a Senior Administrative Research Assistant in the Department of Surgery, Grishma Trivedi, MBBS, MD, MS will embark on a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York.
