The Surgery Shenanigans Swim Team at the conclusion of the swimming leg of the Triathlon. Shepherd, Rogers and Winger each completed about 26-7 laps each for a grand total of 80 laps. Total distance was estimated at about 4000 yards.

Right on the heels of the swimming, Patty Foster embarks on the first laps around Commonwealth Stadium for the most demanding leg of the Triathlon - the 110 mile bike course.

Foster and Winger make the exchange as she completes her rounds. The Shenanigans team broke up the laps into achieveable segments of 4 - 6 laps each. It still took until near sunrise for the course to be completed.

Grishma Trivedi demonstrates determination as she completes another of her bike lap.

Sunrise and Surgery Shenanigans are just about completed with the bike run. For every person on the team, it's their first triathlon and the physicial demands are taking their toll.

Grishma completes her 5.2 miles in the final event of the Ironcology Triathlon. She is welcomed with cheers from weary teammates as Surgery Shenanigans, after about 120 miles, collectively agrees to call it a day.

Can't wait for the next Surgery Shenanigans event.
