The Office for Organizational Well-Being is committed to advancing the science and practice of organizational well-being in academic medicine. Through scholarly publications, presentations, and collaborative research, we contribute to the growing understanding of how organizational conditions influence the experiences of faculty, staff, learners, and leaders.

Our scholarly work reflects both the evaluation of our own initiatives and the exploration of broader questions related to leadership, workplace culture, organizational systems, and flourishing. By sharing what we learn, we hope to contribute to practical insights that support more connected academic medial environments.

Unprofessional and uncivil behaviors can erode trust, safety, and engagement across academic medicine. The University of Kentucky College of Medicine created the Professionalism and Civility Panel to address these challenges through a collaborative, structured framework that unites leaders from Faculty Affairs and Development, Organizational Well-being, and Human Resources. This workshop shares lessons learned and guides participants to identify their own institutional challenges and map out partnerships and processes to address them.
