Dr. Hall and Dr. Xenos Elected to the University Senate

The UK College of Medicine is excited to announce that Sarah Hall, MD, PhD, and Eleftherios Xenos, MD, PhD, have been elected to represent the college on the University Senate.

The University Senate is the faculty voice in the governance of our college and the University and determines broad academic policies of the University. Dr. Hall and Dr. Xenos will serve as College of Medicine representatives for three-year terms beginning in August.

Dr. Hall is an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology. She received her medical degree and PhD from the University of Texas Medical Branch, followed by a residency in anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Dr. Hall has been with the UK College of Medicine since 2017. She currently serves as the anesthesiology rotation director, the chair of the Anesthesiology Clinical Competency Committee, the chief of pediatric anesthesiology, and Kentucky Children's Hospital's procedural medical director.

Dr. Xenos is a professor in the department of surgery and division of vascular surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Athens, Greece Medical School and completed his residency in general surgery and vascular surgery at the State University of New York. He has had two fellowships, one in transplant surgery at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital and one in vascular surgery at University of Tennessee Medical Center. Dr. Xenos has been with the University of Kentucky since 2006 and serves as the associate chief quality officer and chief medical revenue officer.
