Developed at the University of Kentucky, this tutorial series is designed for breastfeeding surgeons utilizing the lived experience of attendings and residents as they balance family and lactation goals with professional obligations. The series was created by UK surgeons Dr. Nikita Gupta (facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon), Dr. Tessa London-Bounds (cardiac surgeon), as well as Otolaryngology resident Dr. Carly Clark and General Surgery resident Dr. Brittany Levy. It contains useful tips and tricks as well as personal testimonials, ranging from finding the right pump for your schedule and knowing your legal rights pertaining to lactation.

This tutorial series is free and available to all. While created for breastfeeding surgeons, it may be of use to anyone interested in balancing breastfeeding and work.

This series was funded by a generous grant from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Women in Otolaryngology Endowment fund and generously supported by UK Healthcare.
