Biography and Education
Biography
Denise Fabian, MD is an associate professor of radiation oncology at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. She specializes in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies, with expertise in brachytherapy and advanced radiation techniques. Dr. Fabian serves as the program director for the radiation oncology program and is the director of gynecologic radiation oncology and brachytherapy. She is actively involved in clinical research, leading investigator-initiated trials focused on innovative radiation approaches for cervical and uterine cancers, and contributing to national cooperative groups including NRG Oncology.
Dr. Fabian earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in radiation oncology. She is deeply committed to medical education, mentorship, and advancing women in medicine through her service on numerous institutional and national committees. Her clinical and research efforts aim to improve patient outcomes while supporting the next generation of radiation oncologists. Dr. Fabian is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care to her patients.
