Visiting Professor Research Presentation

The University of Kentucky Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery hosted J. Zachary Porterfield, MD, Ph.D. April 12, 2018, at Karpf Auditorium.  Dr. Porterfield is an Infectious Disease Research Fellow at Yale University and he gave an outstanding presentation on "The Role of Research in Building an Equitable, Ethical, and Effective Global Partnership.”  He is a physician-scientist with a research focus on developing sustainable international academic partnerships in South Africa.  This presentation marked the beginning of a collaborative global health research relationship with Dr. Porterfield in South Africa and will expand upon the University of Kentucky collaboration with the University of Nairobi. For more information on the Department of Otolaryngology global efforts, please see the link above on our website.
