A look at the day -

As a reminder, the first session begins at 10:00 am at the Lexington Convention Center. This year’s event includes two judged poster sessions, four trainee presentations; a research blitz, and faculty oral presentations from distinguished alumni Dr. Gregory Graf, Professor in the UK College of Pharmacy as well as Drs. Ming Gong and Scott Gordon, both from the UK College of Medicine, Department of Physiology.

The day is further highlighted by three additional oral presentations by distinguished researchers from Northwestern University, University of California, and University of Texas. ● Dr. Mary McDermott, Jeremiah Stamler Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and senior JAMA editor, ● Dr. Jerome Rotter, Director, Division of Genomic Outcomes, Translational Genomics and Population Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, and ● Dr. Dianne Milewicz, President George H. W. Bush Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center will all speak to facets of cardiovascular research. Topics include clinical trials of artery disease, mechanisms of thoracic aortic aneurysms, and genomic relationships within the scope of heart disease.

A networking session later in the day provides researchers with the opportunity to interact with these prominent researchers and fellow attendees.

Professional headshots will be taken for faculty and staff by our exceptional, returning professional photographer - no sign up required.

The evening will conclude with a dinner and awards ceremony with door prize giveaways. Students, be sure to participate in the networking game for the chance to win a monetary travel award!
