Biography
Matthew L. Bush, M.D., Ph.D., MBA, is the Chair for the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. He holds the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Endowed Chair in Rural Health Policy. He earned his M.D. degree from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, WV. He completed Otolaryngology residency at the University of Kentucky. He completed a post-doctoral research fellowship and his Otology, Neurotology & Cranial Base Surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University. He also completed a PhD in Clinical and Translational Science in 2017 and an MBA in 2020, both from the University of Kentucky. His research is focused on hearing healthcare disparities. He serves as the PI of several NIH-funded community-based trials to promote hearing healthcare access and utilization among underserved populations.
