Kyle D Hedinger

Kyle joined the University of Kentucky's MD/PhD program in 2023. As an undergraduate, Kyle earned a B.A. in Biochemistry at Hanover College in 2023. While at Hanover, he was a member of the varsity football team, helped pre-med students as a MCAT tutor, participated in the Physician Scientist Diversity Program, and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. During his undergraduate, Kyle performed research under Dr. Pamela Pretorius at Hanover College and Dr. Reuben Kapur at the Herman B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research. After matriculating to the University of Kentucky, he conducted research under Dr. Jessi Blackburn in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, investigating the role of extracellular vesicles in the tumor heterogeneity of diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPG).
