The University of Kentucky Human Development Institute is leading a five year Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration Maternal and Child Health Bureau in partnership with the University of Louisville and Eastern Kentucky University. LEND programs share the overall mission of improving the health of infants, children and adolescents with, or at risk for, neurodevelopmental and related disabilities including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). A major focus of LEND is to increase the number of professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based screening, diagnosis, and treatment of developmental disabilities including ASD. For this inaugural cohort, we are accepting applications from UK graduate students across disciplines. A total of nine trainees will be accepted in the LEND traineeship, which includes leadership coursework and a rich array of clinical and community placements each semester, for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters. The generous stipend is $2,100 a month, for nine months.
