The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) invites you to participate in the 2024-2025 ASPIRE (Adopting Supportive Practices for an Inclusive Research Environment) program.

This program is designed for faculty members who are interested in developing skills for fostering a community of inclusion and belonging within the research environments they lead. The ASPIRE program consists of three in-person workshops and four online, asynchronous modules. Our goal is to provide you with tools and approaches to create equitable research and experiential learning spaces. By participating in this program, you will join a community of like-minded faculty dedicated to enhancing inclusivity in the UK College of Medicine. 

Program Highlights:

  • In-Person Workshops: Engage with colleagues and experts in three interactive sessions designed to deepen your understanding of inclusive leadership and research practices which will take place from 10-11am on the following dates:
    • Meeting 1 – Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024
    • Meeting 2 – Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024
    • Meeting 3 – Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024
  • Online Modules: Complete asynchronous modules at your own pace, focusing on practical strategies for fostering inclusion in your research lab.
  • Community Building: Network with fellow faculty members committed to creating supportive and equitable research spaces. 

Eligibility: PIs in the College of Medicine in charge of leading research environments and laboratories are eligible for participation.
