UKHC Pathology and Laboratory Medicine would like to welcome our newest faculty members. They will be working with us in various diversified specialties as we continue to grow.

Derek Allison, MD
Dr. Allison graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Johns Hopkins University, where he further completed his Cytopathology fellowship with a focus on Genitourinary (GU) Pathology also at Johns Hopkins.

Shannon Crook, MD
Dr. Crook graduated from East Tennessee State University—Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of Kentucky, and a fellowship in Forensic Pathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center—Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences. Dr. Crook will be working at our State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort.

Sarah Maines, MD
Dr. Maines graduated from University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her resi-dency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of Kentucky, and a fellowship in Forensic Pathology at University of Louisville. Dr. Maines has been a practicing Forensic Pathologist in the Medical Examiner’s office since July of 2018. Dr. Maines will be working at our State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort.

Sahar Nozad, MD
Dr. Nozad graduated from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY, followed by a Hematopathology fellowship at University of Vermont then a Selective Surgical Pathology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

Kristi Adams, MD
Dr. Adams graduated from University of Kentucky Medical School. She completed her residency at University of Kentucky and completed her fellowship in Cytopathology also at University of Kentucky. She has been with Lexington Clinic since 2001.

Daniel Crump, MD
Dr. Crump graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical School. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, a Surgical Pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and a dermatopathology fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch. He has been with Lexington Clinic since 2004.

Elizabeth Lehmann, MD
Dr. Lehmann graduated from Louisiana State University Medical School. She completed her residency and fellowship at University of Kentucky. She has been with Lexington Clinic since 2004.

Evelyn O'Daniel-Pierce, MD
Dr. O’Daniel-Pierce graduated from University of Kentucky Medical School. She completed her residency also at University of Kentucky. She has been with Lexington Clinic since 2007.

Valerie Taylor, MD
Dr. Taylor graduated from Louisiana State University Medical School. She completed her residency also at Louisiana State University. She has been with Lexington Clinic since 1992.

Robert 'Bob' McDonald, DO
Dr. McDonald graduated from Lincoln Memorial University Medical School. He completed his residency at University of Kentucky and completed his fellowship in Selective Surgical Pathology at Washington University School of Medicine. He was most recently a staff pathologist at Cape Lab and Pathology in Cape Girardeau, MO.
