Department Engagement
Each month, our department hosts events designed to foster a sense of community. These gatherings encourage fun, creativity, and connection—providing opportunities for us to bond outside of our daily work.
Be sure to check back every month to see what exciting events we’ve had, and get involved in the next one!
Taste of Pathology
In November, the department hosted a Taste of Pathology in celebration of community. To make it extra special, faculty, residents, and staff brought a dish that reminds them of their community—something that represents where their from, a family favorite, or just a recipe that holds a special place in their heart. It's a wonderful opportunity to share not just food, but the stories and traditions that make our department unique.
Halloween Grand Rounds
During a PGY-4 Senior Job Talk Grand Rounds on Oct. 31, faculty, residents, and staff were encouraged to wear a costume and at the end of the presentation, all voted for best/most creative costume. Happy Halloween!
Pumpkin Carving in the Courtyard
In October, faculty, residents, and staff enjoyed our annual Pumpkin Carving in the Courtyard, followed by refreshments and delicious fall treats.
Appreciation Luncheon
In recognition of our faculty, residents, and staff's hard work, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the department of pathology and laboratory medicine, the department hosted an Appreciation Luncheon in August.
