Clinical Chemistry Fellowship
The department of pathology and laboratory medicine at the University of Kentucky Medical Center offers a two-year clinical chemistry fellowship program. Our program provides comprehensive training and experience in analytical, clinical, and managerial aspects of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine.
This program is a one-year clinically oriented program devoted to all areas of cytopathology. Extensive training and experience in gynecologic, nongynecologic, and fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology are provided, with the pathology service performing most of the aspirates.
A two-year fellowship in neuropathology is offered at the University of Kentucky. A high proportion of surgical neuropathological accessions are related to the diagnosis and staging of neoplasms, but there are many dementia autopsies linked to the University of Kentucky Alzheimer's Disease Center. Approximately one month of vacation/travel is included.
Surgical Pathology Fellowship
A one-year fellowship in surgical pathology is offered at the University of Kentucky. The division accessions over 28,000 cases per year and performs more than 3,500 frozen sections.
