The University of Kentucky is the main tertiary referral center of Central and Eastern Kentucky for joint reconstruction. This large referral network allows fellows to participate in primary to complex joint reconstructions as well as a large revision arthroplasty practice.

Sports Medicine Fellowship

The University of Kentucky Sports Medicine Fellowship provides a well-rounded look at the world of Sports Medicine including sideline team coverage, training room evaluation, operative and non-operative treatment of common musculoskeletal problems that we encounter in a Sports Medicine practice. We have four Orthopaedic attending physicians and two Primary Care-Sports Fellowship Trained on staff for the Sports Medicine service.

Trauma Fellowship

The University of Kentucky, UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital is the flagship provider of multidisciplinary trauma care for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. A large referral network includes the central and eastern Kentucky regions, as well as, out-of-state referrals. Fellowship participants will be exposed to all aspects of orthopaedic trauma care with an emphasis on complex fractures and multiply-injured patients.
