Visiting Medical Students

Acting Internship in Orthopaedic Surgery Course Number: OTH-851

The UK College of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers a four-week acting internship for fourth year medical students. We participate in VSAS (Visiting Students Application System). Please see the University of Kentucky Visiting Students Program as well as our course syllabus (Fourth Year Internship Information) for more information.

Rotations start on June 5, 2023.

The four weeks are made up of rotations on the following services:

1 week with pediatric orthopaedics
2 weeks on the trauma service
1 elective week: Student's choice of one of the following:
- Sports medicine
- Reconstruction
- Spine
- Hand
Limited on-call experience as well
