UK College of Medicine overview

Our department is committed to training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.

What started in 1997 as ten faculty and three residents per year has grown to over 35 full-and-part-time faculty along with five residents per year and six fellows per year. With the recruitment of top notch faculty, we are now providing specialty care in the areas of foot and ankle, general orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, orthopaedic oncology, pediatric orthopaedics, spine, sports medicine, trauma, hand and upper extremity.

This recruitment not only provides the citizens of Kentucky and area states with exceptional care but also enables us to provide the education and training necessary for graduating outstanding orthopaedic residents along with sports medicine, trauma, and joint reconstruction fellows.
