The National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) is the matching service for neurosurgery.

The department selects two PGY-1 residents a year to begin training July 1. It is necessary to register for National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) separately from the the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

The Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) is the service which packages and transmits residency applications.

Interviews are arranged by invitation and are based on a review of the application material received through ERAS only.

To ensure that your complete application is reviewed, please make sure that your application includes a USMLE transcript, a medical school transcript, a Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE, Dean’s letter), a personal statement and three letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a practicing neurosurgeon.
