The University of Kentucky Department of Neurosurgery Center for Cerebrovascular Disease
UK provides state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment of cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and other vascular malformations of the brain and spine. Utilizing open microsurgery, interventional neuroradiology, and Gamma Knife radiosurgery, UK provides comprehensive care for patients with cerebrovascular disease, regardless of complexity.
The specialists at UK will discuss your diagnosis with you, explain the natural history of the disease, and answer your questions about what it means to have an aneurysm or AVM. They will provide options for treatment, discussing the risks and benefit of each treatment, and helping to guide you through the process.
