Dr. Wael Ibrahim had two abstracts accepted for poster presentation at the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Spring Conference in Chicago, IL in April, 2026.  These posters were a collaboration with members of the UK diagnostic stewardship sub-committee (part of the antimicrobial stewardship committee).  Please see details below, congratulations Dr. Ibrahim!

Dr. Eleanor Powell was recently elected as a Councilor for the Pan-American Society of Clinical Virology Council, a national organization dedicated to advancing viral diagnostic testing through education, collaboration, and networking for laboratorians, clinicians, and researchers.  Well done Dr. Powell!

Dr. Aaron Shmookler is co-author of a recently published synoptic report published in the journal Transfusion titled “A critical moment:  Standardizing red blood cell antibody reporting to reduce hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn risk”.  This was a collaborative effort with clinicians from the Allo Hope Foundation, Dell Medical School, University of California, San Francisco, and Children’s National Hospital/George Washington University.  Excellent work Dr. Shmookler!
