About Us
The mission of the Kentucky Cannabis Center is to accelerate cannabinoid science and conduct high quality cannabis research that is relevant to the health and well-being of the citizens of Kentucky.
Clinical Trials
The University of Kentucky Cannabis Center is one of approximately five centers in the country with the capability to conduct double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trials administering controlled doses of a Schedule I drug (cannabis).
Pilot Grants
The Cannabis Center issued a call for pilot grant applications in October 2022. Grant applications were reviewed by an expert panel. Four grants were awarded in the Spring of 2023. All grants are reporting Kentucky-based data.
Cannabis Growing Facility
The Cannabis Center is working closely with the partners to establish and indoor growing facility with DEA Schedule I approval.
Collaborations
Our research is collaborative and brings together researchers across the University of Kentucky, as well as local, state, and national organizations.

The Cannabis Center is committed to sharing our research and hosting education and awareness events.
