Medical Orchestra
Calling all musicians
Do you play a musical instrument? Are you looking to make music and new friendships in the College of Medicine? If so, we want to hear from you.
This informal offering, with a monthly cadence, will explore a variety of musical styles (classical, film, and video game soundtracks, and more) and will be led by Nicoletta Moss, a teaching assistant and director of the UK Philharmonia - in the UK College of Fine Arts. There are many academic medical centers that provide music-making opportunities across the United States. We are actively seeking your input to gauge interest in this opportunity for musicians to meet and rehearse together.
If you are interested in participating in monthly orchestra reading sessions, please complete this survey. We look forward to hearing from you.

Courtyard Concerts
Join us for an hour of live music in Fall 2024. Musicians and singers will perform in the outdoor area nestled in between the UK Dentistry Building and the Willard Science Building.
Music provides a gateway to improved health and wellness, yet it is often overlooked as a mood-enhancing activity in our learning and workspaces. When shared with others, live music experiences contribute to increased social connections and improved perceptions of our environment. Additionally, there is some indication that music contributes positively to stress reduction. We look forward to enjoying a Courtyard Concert with you soon!
More to come in Spring 2025!
