Our research in animal health aims at enhancing the well-being of animals. We explore preventative measures, diagnostics, and treatments to address infectious diseases, ensuring the health and productivity of livestock, pets, and wildlife. Our efforts extend to promoting sustainable practices in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, emphasizing welfare considerations and the responsible use of antimicrobials. The other component of our animal health research is to develop novel tools for rapid detection and characterization of zoonotic pathogens emerging at the animal-human interface and turn the discovery to product development that can protect humans and animals.
