About Kristen Platt
Kristen Platt, PhD, is an Associate Professor and classically trained gross anatomist at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where she teaches across medical, graduate, and health professions programs. She is the course director for multiple clinical anatomy courses and is known for her engaging, student-centered approach. Her scholarly work explores teaching innovation and the role of humanities in higher education. Dr. Platt has received multiple awards recognizing her leadership, creativity, and excellence in teaching, and she actively mentors faculty and students in teaching and professional development.
Research
Currently, Dr. Platt has multiple areas of research interest, including educational innovation and the intersection of medicine, history, and art.
