Dr. Makenzie Barr Receives CHET Just-in-Time Award

Congratulations to Makenzie Barr, PhD, RDN, LD, Assistant Professor of Dietetics and Human Nutrition in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment for receiving a CHET Just-in-Time award for her project, “A Qualitative Community Based Participatory Research Approach to Identifying Community Supported Interventions for Laurel County Kentucky.”

The goal of her project is to identify feasible evidence-based program options of interest to rural Kentuckians that target improvement of health outcomes.

Dr. Barr will collect input from the target population on enhancing healthy eating opportunities to support a pathway to self-sufficiency and obesity reduction.
