Laurie McLouth, PhD is a faculty member of the Center for Health Equity Transformation, and an assistant professor of behavioral science in the College of Medicine and the Markey Cancer Center. Dr. McLouth’s unique expertise for CHET lies in partially in her professional background and partially in her research program. With a PhD in clinical psychology, Dr. McLouth is equipped with knowledge and skills in interventions and healthcare. This is reflected in her research program, which focuses on developing and testing multilevel interventions to support patients and families undergoing treatment for advanced-stage cancer. More broadly, she brings expertise in cancer survivorship, she can be a critical bridge for researchers who want to begin to conduct work with patients or work with a cancer population.
