CHET Spotlight: Dr. Carolyn Lauckner

Carolyn Lauckner, PhD is a faculty member of the Center for Health Equity Transformation (CHET), and an assistant professor in the department of behavioral science. Her expertise is in the field of technology-based healthcare, including telehealth and mHealth. As a new CHET member, Dr. Lauckner hopes to serve as a resource for the Center and brainstorm innovative ways to use technology to increase health equity and reduce gaps in access to care. Dr. Lauckner has a background in communication, which has allowed her to work in multiple transdisciplinary settings. She believes that any activities that encourage collaboration, collegiality, and team science are wonderful. In a post-COVID world, she believes that it would be great to host events that encourage networking between academics and community partners. Dr. Lauckner hopes that gathering like-minded researchers and community partners together could help jumpstart some great community-based projects that meet tangible needs in Lexington and the surrounding areas.
