Amy Lynn Meadows, MD, MHS, is an associate professor in the departments of psychiatry and pediatrics at the University of Kentucky, where she is the Dr. Laurie L. Humphries Endowed Chair in child psychiatry and the division director for child and adolescent psychiatry. Her research interest is in the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on health-related decision-making and adherence to medical treatment. Dr. Meadows is currently studying how to improve treatment engagement in childhood trauma survivors who are enrolled in medication treatment for opioid use disorder. Dr. Meadows has been awarded the University of Kentucky College of Medicine’s Vision Award, the UK Academy of Medical Educator’s Excellence in Teaching Award, and the UK Department of Psychiatry Tagalie Heister Mentor Award.
