The UK College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry strives to provide the best psychiatric care through integrative clinical practice, pioneering research, community advocacy, and education designed to inspire the future leaders of psychiatry in Kentucky and beyond.

Our notable achievements include winner of the American College of Psychiatrists’ Award for Creativity in Psychiatric Education. We were among the first in the United States to establish a combined triple board training program in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. We continue to be nationally recognized for leadership in residency training education.
