In America, 1 in 9 adults, 65 or older, suffer from Alzheimer's disease. With 1 in 3 adults over the age of 85 suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia. However, Alzheimer's is not just a disease of old age. Younger-onset (also known as Early-Onset) Alzheimer's affects people younger than the age of 65. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.

Please join us for the 2025 Jog Your Memory for Alzheimer's 5K on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Prestonsburg city stage. Registration begins at 8:30 am. All proceeds from the event go to the Alzheimer's Association and the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging to fund research and treatment efforts.  

• Early registration will be $20
• $25 day of the event
• Groups of 10 or more will receive $5 off registration for each person. Please keep in mind, if you are registering with a group, ALL MUST register at the same time to get the discount. You can't sign up individually if you want to get the group discount. 

You are welcome to run or walk the 5K portion; it will be timed. We also have a one-mile Non-competitive walk. 
*Race will be timed by APPALACHIAN TIMING GROUP

•  Shirts will be ordered August 22, so you will need to be registered by that date to be GUARANTEED a shirt. 
  
  *If you’ve lost someone to any type of Dementia and would like to add their name to our special “In Memory Of” section on the back of the shirt. (Please email the name to missidavies@msn.com )

**Each age group will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for both males and females. **
