The Inclusive Postdoctoral Enrichment Program (IPEP), led by Nancy Schoenberg, PhD, associate vice president for research, research professional development, provides support and career development for diverse postdoctoral fellows. These OVPR fellowships include the Lyman T. Johnson Postdoctoral Fellowship and the University Research Postdoctoral Fellowship. Interested individuals from any scholarly background can apply via the OVPR website.

Fellows pursue an individualized research program under the mentorship of UK faculty and actively participate in group and personalized research career development activities designed to enhance their competitiveness for a future faculty position. IPEP, the programmatic component of  the Office of the Vice President for Research’s postdoctoral fellowship program, includes personal navigation to UK and the research enterprise, dedicated support from the Proposal Development Office for grant development, mentoring to a career of academia, networking and inclusion opportunities, and other assistance from the research infrastructure.
