Mara Hollis

Mara serves as a finance and administrative officer for the department. She is a key member of the Administration team which provides financial management, account reconciliation and data reporting/analysis to support the faculty, and research missions. She provides oversight and focus on fiscal management, purchasing, contract management, grants administration, and other departmental fiscal duties. She is a part of the administrative infrastructure and supports the operations, strategy development and implementation across all of the department’s missions.

Mara has several years of administrative and fiscal management experience. She has been at the University of Kentucky on and off for 19 years, originally starting in 2004. Mara has worked in the College of Dentistry, at the Markey Cancer Center, and the Center on Trauma & Children.

In Mara’s free time, she is also a professional realtor. She is passionate about service, community, and building generational wealth. Mara is a woman of faith. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and outdoors. Mara relishes time spent at the lake on their boat. She enjoys reading, fishing, hiking, gardening, and plays in a weekly cornhole league.
