As part of their outpatient clinic experience, the resident will participate in various procedures during their residency at CHRH, UK Clinic, and VA rotation. The resident will be given gradual responsibility based on their competency.

The procedures include:

  • EMG/NCS
  • Neurolytic injections for spasticity, dystonia, and sialorrhea
  • Ultrasound guidance for procedure
  • Joint injections
  • Trigger point injections
  • Refill and maintenance of Intrathecal Baclofen Pump
  • Programming and maintenance of Deep Brain Stimulators for patients with dystonia, essential tremor and Parkinson's Disease
  • Wound care which includes debridement and wound vac placement
