Nominate your colleagues for a WIMS award

Dear Colleagues,
 
The Women in Medicine and Science (WIMS) Executive Committee invites you to recognize your fellow colleagues who encourage and support women in their academic and professional endeavors in the College of Medicine. There are four awards to be given to members of the UK College of Medicine community:

• Mentorship Award for a male or female UK faculty member who serves as a mentor and role model for the College of Medicine women.
• Leadership award to be given to a female UK College of Medicine faculty member who serves as a leader in her profession.
• Two “Rising Star” awards which will be presented to outstanding female professionals-in-training including medical students, doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, and fellows. 

Recipients will be recognized at the Women in Medicine and Science Annual Event, “WIMS Visiting Professor Day,” Thursday, October 8.

Please nominate your fellow colleagues for one of these esteemed awards and help us recognize the women and men who make our College of Medicine so successful!
