Reminders regarding NIH Public Access Policy

NIH PIs are reminded that compliance with the NIH Public Access Policy is applicable to all awards with start dates July 1, 2013, or later.  More information can be found at this link, http://publicaccess.nih.gov/.  Also available is a PowerPoint presentation as prepared by Dr. Tom Kelly,  Associate Dean for Research, College of Nursing, and Professor, Dept. of Behavioral Science.  

In addition to this compliance issue being a required part of annual progress report submissions (via the RPPR or paper process), investigators and other key personnel must include the PMCID in all citations that are part of the biosketches incorporated in any NIH proposal submission.  More information on this requirement can be found here:  http://publicaccess.nih.gov/citation_methods.htm
