NIH Delays New Biosketch Format Until May 25

If you are planning an NIH proposal submission for May 25, 2015 (or later), any biosketches included MUST use the new 5-page format.  Please note this represents a significant change and you are encouraged to allow sufficient lead time to prepare them.  This new format asks the investigator to provide up to five of his/her most significant contributions to science, including historical background, findings, influence and/or application of the findings on the progress of science and/or health or technology, and his/her role in the work.  For each contribution, the investigator may reference up to four peer-reviewed publications or non-publication research products relevant to the contribution.  Additional details can be found at   NOT-OD-15-032 and this FAQ site.  The University’s Proposal Development Office (PDO) plans to offer a workshop on preparing a biosketch in the new NIH format very soon.  In you need assistance in the meantime, you can contact them directly at pdo@uky.edu.
