Call for Applications

Second Round of the Multidisciplinary Value Program (MVP)

College of Medicine, Office of Vice President for Research, and Center for Clinical Translational Science UK will accept applications for pilot projects according to the following schedule:

v Call for Applications: July 20, 2016

v Letter of Intent due: September 15, 2016

v Invitation to submit Full Application: October 31, 2016

v Full Application due: November 30, 2016

v Funding Decision: January 2017

The purpose of this funding mechanism is to provide a new opportunity and resources to support innovative, collaborative research projects with investigator initiated clinical studies which includes both clinical trials and observational studies that are developed by a multi-disciplinary team, inclusive of colleges and centers across UK.

Priority for funding:

·         Teams that includes at least one member with strong extramurally funded science;

·         A team that includes a translational research investigator;

·         Projects with a clear plan toward future federal funding grant submissions;

·         A feasible clinical/translational study;

·         Relevance to the health challenges and disparities faced by Kentucky.

Investigators at all stages of career development, junior, middle, and senior are eligible to apply.

In order to qualify for this round of funding the CCTS must receive a Letter of Intent (LOI) and biosketch via the following link LOI submission link ,

no later than 5: 00 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2016.
