Medallion Nominations Close Soon

The UK Libraries Medallion for Intellectual Achievement is an annual award that recognizes high intellectual achievement by Kentuckians, encourages education, and promotes creative thought. To be eligible, nominees must be a Kentucky native or have had more than 3 years of study, work, or residency in Kentucky.

Last year's winner (pictured above) was James Klotter, state historian of Kentucky, and past winners have included Thomas D. Clark, Wendell Berry, Nancy Martin, and John Egerton, among others.

If you would like to submit a nomination, please fill out the
Medallion for Intellectual Achievement Nomination Form and submit it by this Friday, 8/19, along with relevant materials to Daniel King, Director of Philanthropy, 1-85 WT Young Library, Lexington, KY 40506.
