Limited Submission - Edward Mallinckrodt, Jr. Foundation - Grant Program

 Purpose: The mission of the Edward Mallinckrodt, Jr. Foundation is to support early stage, highly promising investigators engaged in basic biomedical research that has the potential to advance the understanding, diagnosis or treatment of disease. The funds are designed to provide to tenure track faculty members at American Institutions who hold M.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees, and who are in the first to fourth year of a tenure-track position, with support to move the project forward to the point where R01 or other independent funding can be obtained.  

Funding Amount/Period:  $60,000 per year for up to 3 years

Internal Competition: To be considered as the University’s nominee, researchers are to submit the following material electronically, assembled into a single PDF document, to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu and a copy to their Associate Dean for Research by Tuesday, June 28, 2016:

  • Name, department, and tenure track position appointment date of the PI

  • Title of the program and/or funding opportunity announcement number

  • Brief project description (2 pages maximum).
