The University of Kentucky announces the implementation of TRIP Travel Document Solution.

TRIP is an online software program designed to streamline the creation, submission, approval and payment of travel requests and travel expense reports in SAP. TRIP will be available to UK employees on Monday, Oct. 10.

TRIP is accessible through the Employee Self Service portal (ESS) on myUK.

More than 200 scientists and clinical investigators gathered last week to share insights and learn more about translational and clinical neuroscience research underway at the University of Kentucky. When most people think of the "fight against cancer," mental images of doctors counseling patients or white-coated researchers looking through a microscope often come to mind. However, clinicians and researchers across the country wouldn't be able to make major strides forward in cancer care without the critical information provided by cancer registries. In the Commonwealth, the Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR) has been dedicated to providing medical personnel with valuable cancer data for 30 years.

I’m pleased to announce starting this week, the College of Medicine will hold weekly administrators meetings with rotating topics, such as: accounting, finance, HR/payroll, research administration, and reporting.  We will communicate the agenda for the weekly meeting in advance, when possible.  While this meeting is geared toward Business Administrators, depending on the subject matter others may wish to attend.  Please check with your supervisor in advance regarding attendance to ensure coverage

Drs. Darren Johnson and Christian Latterman, both professors in the University of Kentucky Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, have been ranked as two of the “16 Standout North American Sports Knee Surgeons” by the publication Orthopedics This Week, the most widely read publication in the Orthopedics industry. “I am truly honored and humbled to be recognized at this level. I have always strived to provide the best care to the patients I serve," said Johnson who has been working at UK since 1993 and serves as chair of the department.

Dr. Jay Zwischenberger was one of 12 specialists inducted into the 2016 class of Fellows of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (FELSO) during a special awards ceremony at the ELSO Annual Conference on September 17, 2016 in San Diego.

CHSR was recently selected to direct the Tracking & Evaluation Core of UK’s Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS). Led by Dr. Phil Kern, the CCTS champions innovation across the spectrum of clinical and translational research, and educates the translational workforce of the future. Tracking & Evaluation by CHSR combines formative and summative evaluation techniques, and utilizes mixed methods approaches that incorporate both traditional and translational metrics.
