NIH Releases Policy Supporting the Early Career Scientists

On August 31, 2017, NIH released its updated policy promoting growth, stability and diversity in the biomedical research workforce.  NIH acknowledges that early career scientists have found it increasingly difficult to obtain research funding for their first award.  To address the increased difficulty, NIH will require that institutes prioritize awards for scientists early in their careers.  To more information about funding the new generation of researchers, click here.
