The FINDERS Team

The FINDERS Alliance team combines clinical experts in Epilepsy, the analysis of EEG waveform, and neuroimaging. It brings together energetic and ambitous faculty from multiple departments and even from multiple colleges within our university. The FINDERS alliance team is ably lead by Brian Gold, PhD from the department of Neuroscience and Meriem Bensalem Owen, MD from the department of Neurology. Dr. Gold is an experienced researcher who leads an active research effort using advanced MR imaging techniques to study Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Bensalem Owen is an epileptologist from the department of Neurology. Our team also combines clinical experts in Radiology, MR imaging, Medical Physics and engineers who bring high powered expertise in signal processing. As a team our goal is to advance the ability to use non-invasive MR imaging and signal processing to improve the detection of the epileptic seizure center and to aid in the treatment of epilepsy.
