CHET primary faculty member Justin X. Moore, PhD, is co-leading a summer programming workshop for high school students called Biostat Prodigy. This 5-day immersive workshop on statistical programming is co-led by Kristen McQuerry, PhD, associate professor in the College of Public Health Department of Biostatistics in partnership with Fayette County Public Schools.

The program is for high school students and will provide insights into the role of biostatisticians and epidemiologists in shaping public health policies. Students will also gain valuable coding skills, explore exciting career paths, and connect with professionals in the field. The learning experience will culminate with students developing a Shiny application for data visualization.
