Dr. Mary Vore from the University of Kentucky to present the 2019 Norman Weiner Lecture. This lecture was established in memory of Dr. Norman Weiner, past ASPET President and chair of the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado. It is in honor of his many contributions to both ASPET and to pharmacology research and education. Dr. Vore completed her PhD in pharmacology at Vanderbilt School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship at Hoffmann-La Roche. She was a graduate faculty member at the University of Kentucky Graduate Center for Toxicology from 1979 until her recent retirement. Along the way she served as vice-chair and acting chair of the Department of Pharmacology, chair of the Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology, director of the Graduate Center for Toxicology, and associate dean for Faculty Advancement. She has been a member of ASPET since 1975 and currently serves as chair of the ASPET Board of Publications Trustees.
