I had the privilege of completing an away rotation at UK, where I experienced firsthand the strong camaraderie not only among the residents but also the attendings. They welcomed me warmly and provided opportunities for both personal and professional growth. I was particularly impressed by the outstanding teaching from the faculty, who struck a great balance between guidance and allowing the residents to maintain autonomy. This, combined with the high patient volume and diverse pathologies seen at the University of Kentucky will help me develop into a confident, skilled surgeon capable of delivering excellent care to my future patients.
